The Internationalization of Products in the Pharma, Healthcare and Personal Medicine Sectors – Example Blackrock Microsystems

July World Trade Association of Utah Luncheon at Blackrock Microsystems

The World Trade Association of Utah will be holding its next meeting on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Blackrock Microsystems located at 630 Komas Drive, Suite 200 , Salt Lake City, UT 84108-1229

Blackrock Microsystems was founded in 2008 and draws on a legacy of high tech innovation that began with Bionic Technologies, a spin-off from the University of Utah in 1997. The company is selling its products worldwide. It has taken major strides in applying technology to the human body. The company is privately held and provides enabling tools for the neuroscience, neural engineering and neuroprosthetics research and clinical community worldwide.

Florian Solzbacher, President and CEO will provide an overview of the company and answer questions about the development and internationalization of Blackrock. His remarks will be followed by a tour of the company.

Florian Solzbacher

Professor Florian Solzbacher, President and Executive Chairman of Blackrock Microsystems, has created a commercial vision for the company to lead the market in implantable microsystems. Our team caters to the immediate and future needs of the research markets.

These existing markets together with major technical breakthroughs in chronically implantable microsystems propel us to the forefront of clinical key solutions for next generation pharma development, healthcare and personalized medicine.

Who we are looking for: Blackrock builds its business and operations on the firm belief that the best technologies are those that answer the needs of customers and are successfully commercialised out of sophisticated (academic) research and partnerships.

If you have a technology or application know-how that could contribute to our portfolio, or if you just want to know more, please contact us.
