Steve Lindsey – Managing Partner, Operations
Mountain West Container Services

Steve has grown up in the local intermountain area trucking market.  Having worked in management roles at his family’s truck line and later, at Link Trucking and Bridge Terminal Transport (previously a division of Maersk Line).  Today, he and Mike Stockwell are the founding and managing members of the Mountain West group of companies. Mountain West Container Services is a full-service container depot and local trucking (drayage) operator, servicing some of the largest import and export customers in the local Salt Lake City marketplace.  Mountain West’s unique approach to partner with local forwarders and BCO’s, rather than just be “another trucker”, allows for enhanced supply chain management on the local level.  Located just ½ mile from the Salt Lake City Intermodal Terminal of Union Pacific Railroad, MWCS handled over 34,000 trucking moves in 2018. Steve and his wife Cherie, are the proud parents of four children and grandparents of one grandchild, having realized in the last year that you really do have kids just so you can be grandparents.  Outside of helping to manage all those trucking moves, Steve enjoys golfing and travelling with his family.
