New President of WTA
The World Trade Association of Utah is pleased to announce Barbara Bagnasacco as the new president of the World Trade Association. She replaces Franz Kolb who served the organization with excellence for several years.
Ms. Bagnasacco is a member of the International and Corporate sections and chairs the European Markets practice group at the law firm of Kirton McConkie. She has extensive experience with domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, equity and debt offerings, foreign direct investment, EB-5 investments, corporate matters, distribution, agency and licensing matters and market entry strategies. She advises U.S. and foreign clients in connection with establishing, structuring, and complying with international operations, including the establishment of international distribution networks. Ms. Bagnasacco also represents domestic and international clients on corporate governance issues, including compliance with data privacy regulations and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. She assists clients with preparing FCPA policies and related training and with FCPA due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and distribution arrangements. She is recognized in Chambers USA for corporate/M&A.
Ms. Bagnasacco will continue to lead the mission of the World Trade Association as it works to assemble a group of Utah professionals to promote, network, and expand international trade and commerce.
As a non-profit organization of individuals, companies, government actors, and academic institutions, the World Trade Association is a center for promoting international commerce in Utah. The WTA provides a forum for exchange of ideas and information through monthly luncheons, speakers, seminars, workshops, publications, and special events to strengthen the knowledge and value of global association.
