Karin Fladmoe-Lindquist is an Associate Professor of Strategy and International Business at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. She received her Ph.D. in Strategic Management and her M. Planning degrees from the University of Minnesota and her B.S. in urban Planning from Michigan State University. She previously taught at the University of Minnesota and was a visiting professor at the University of Lyon in Lyon, France. Karin has been a member of the WTA Board since 2005.
She teaches courses which focus on global business and corporate strategy, as well as business strategy. In 1998, she received the Graduate Award for Teaching Excellence and the Doctoral Faculty teaching award in 2000. Karin’s research interests are in global strategy, competitive dynamics, and corporate political and social strategy. her research has appeared in management Science, Organization Science, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Applied Corporate, Finance and Advances in Strategic Management, Strategic Management Journal and California Management Review. She is also on the editorial board of the Global Strategy Journal. She has lived in Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Switzerland, and has been in Utah since 1990.
